Ok so I had my dealer algin my heads yesterday I know...
I drove it home last night and the light output was terrible, honeslty I think it's the cheepo head lights that I have in there. Got them from e-bay for $94. If they crack or leak I'll go get the OEM harley's and see if they are better.

....Just ranting....

I have these ones and the light outup is alot less but way more focused with my HID's. Probably because there is not all of that refraction from the entire reflective surface of the light. I wonder if my stocks would be better if I painted them or if the cup is a different size?

I have the same ones, I love them with my HIDs but with my stockers they were pretty dim!

Overall I am very impressed with them and i have gotten a bunch of comments.

My dad had an 04 Lariat and I had an 08 FX4 with lux pack. (harley headlights) His headlights were brighter than mine... I put in some sylvanias and now I am good to go, mine are a little brighter than his stock ones now.

I switched my stock lights to the hellas and at the same time replaced the bulbs with the silverstars. Light output is better than stock and other than 1 of them building up moisture every now and then they look and work great !

Has anyone ever gone to there dealer to re aim there head lights? I think that my aim is got to be off... I read my owners manual regarding this subject but still no success....
The loss of light even with Sylvania Silver Stars in the Harley Headlights I recently installed in my truck, plus the fact they sucked against the wedgewood blue paint, was the deciding factor that caused me to put the stockers back in and put the Harleys in the classifieds. There is definately a loss of candlepower if you will. Or else I am getting older than I thought and my eyes are gettng bad..Should have listened to dad when I was young...
