Yeah, it was aligned two days after I installed the AS. Don't think it would be very wise to make a 700mile round trip w/out the alignment performed.

I will look into getting the airbag setup in the next month. I'll probaly get around to installing it when the temps get a bit warmer (mid march). I installed a 240V heater in my garage, but it takes a while to heat up a 3 car garage. I don't need the bags until racing season anyway.

Plus just seeing the funny look on the guys face when loading a full pallet of patio blocks in the bed and the truck hardly sags. I would highly recommend them, you won't be sorry!!
Are there other good brands besides Firestone? Nothing against Firestone, just curious if there are other players.

Thanks,

Thanks,
The only other brand besides Firestone that I have heard of is Air Lift. I am guessing that there are probably others, but these are the 2 most popular brands.

Most of your big rig's air ride setups use Firestone air bags. Air Ride Technologies use Firestone bags on their kits. That should say something.

Well the truck sits lower in the front actually, depending on where you measure from. The front wheel well has a larger opening for turning. So if the wheel well height is equal front and rear, front is actually about 1" lower if you measure the body lines just outside the wheel well. But it all comes down to how it looks to you. I'll probably add a leaf in mine also.
If you have a trailer that you tow regularly I would go with airbags. Run them 10psi while empty and it should bring the back up just a hair. And they work awsome carrying a heavy load.

The add-a-leaf will stiffen your rear end and cost a whole lot less.

Here's a pic of it from the side. The truck looks level, but there seems to be more "space" in the front wheel opening compared to the rear.

Pic of the "hill" I drove up at a buddies house "down south" in MO. Those OEM Pirelli's would have left me stranded at the bottom with big ruts from the spinning tires......
