Body Mount Question
Body Mount Question
I've been hearing an interesting noise when the suspension flexs on the truck, for example going in my driveway, or heading up a dirt road and pulling onto a connector spur or something...
Well it has slowly been getting worse and I crawled underneath to check out any possible loose nuts/bolts. I don't think this is the source of the noise, but check this out.

The driver's side has the bolt going up and there is a nut in the cab behind the seat, the passenger side has a bolt going down with no nut. Pretty sure that isn't supposed to be like that as the fronts both match to the driver's rear body mount bolt.
Think this is the source of my noise? As clean as the threads look on my truck, i don't think there has ever been a nut on there.
Thoughts?

I noticed the same thing with my 2008 extended cab. My backseat was a little loose on the passenger side so I pulled off the seat back to find the mounting bolt was loose and tried to tighten it and it snapped. I'm pretty pissed because my collision shop said it would cost 150 to 200 dollars to fix it. the bolt holding it in place was threading down from the inside of the cab to outside. This does not make any sense because the other 4 bolts mounting the seat to the body are threading into the cab from the outside. I'm wondering if the guys in the factory messed something up and just threw a whatever bolt on there to secure it and call it good.
