07 Explorer/06 F-150 radio swap

Hey guys, I hope you can help me out. I posted this question in the Audio forum and didn't get any responses. I'm hoping one of you will know the answer.
I've been offered an 07 factory 6cd/mp3 player out of an 07 Explorer. After seaching many, many threads as well as Ebay I cannot tell if it would be a plug-n-play replacement for my existing single cd factory radio in my 06 F150 XLT. I understand that I would most likely have to buy the antenna adapter. Any information would be appreciated! Thank you and happy holidays.:santa:

are they the same size?

I know for a fact that the Mustang Mach 500/1000 is plug n' play. as well as the Expy radio

Ford re-uses whenever possible

I believe they are, both are 4.75 inches in height. I'm more concerned about the electrical hook-up.

It should work fine.

After dealing with many Ford radios in my lifetime, I even know the Europeon ones too, it's interesting what they've got out there.
