Buying a F-150 in the UK

Hi from the UK

I'm looking at buying a F-150 here in the UK and just have a few question for you guys if thats ok??

Firstly mileage - Ive seen one with 80k miles. I will be doing very few miles in the truck i'm just a little worried as to how long the engine will be good for.

Is there anything i should look out for when checking one over? I'm looking for an 04-06 lariat 5.4. bearing in mind if there were any non serious recalls the ford dealers here would have no idea what they were looking at.

There really isnt too much info on these in the UK and i never believe what dealers say.

This is the one i'm chasing, convert the price back to dollars and try not to fall off your chairs!!!!

Cheers guys

12,000.00 GBP=17,702.60 USD

United Kingdom Pounds United States Dollars
1 GBP = 1.47522 USD 1 USD = 0.677866 GBP

17 Grand is a fair if not great price in my opinion for a Lariat truck with 43 000 mles.

Well with the mileage on that truck I don't think you will have to worry about anything going wrong with it. These trucks are great and will last forever. Well not forever, but you know. I agree that the price is not that bad for that truck.

I might be wrong, but don't you have to have orange turning blinkers in the back in the UK?

Do some reading, 05s had some injector issues and pre'07 or '08 motors have stubborn spark plugs that should be replaced as soon as possible according to the Ford TSB.
