keyless entry pad

hey guys. new here and had my 2004 fx4 "broken into" this morning. i believe someone has gained access to my entry code because there wasnt any actually breaking of anything just stolen items and i know for a FACT that i locked the doors.

Anyways, is there a way i can reprogram my access code or do i have to take it to the dealer?

thanks

This is from the owners manual, pg. 94:
1. Enter the factory entry code
2. Within 5 secs., press 1.2 on the keypad
3. Enter your new 5 digit code
4. After the code is set, the locks will cycle, confirming the new code is set.

The original keypad code can not be changed, at least by you. The programming in the manual is to ad an additional one, but the original will always work. My guess is that to have it changed, you would have to replace the security module.
