i have a Tekonsha Voyager brake controller but there is only 4 wires and the wiring harness has 5 does anyone know what goes were on this thing im really confused help please

 

Mine was plug and play on my F150 but I had the same one on my diesel, It is probably an extra wire in the harness use for illumination but on your Voyager, it doesn't need the illumination wire. Other than that I would have to see pictures of the wires in the harness and Voyager. I hope this helps.

 

I just installed a four wire controller in mine. One of the wires from the truck's harness is for illumination (brown wire, IIRC) and is not needed. I just taped off the end of it to prevent a short, and left it alone.
