Hard Cranks?

OK so, my truck has a hard start every once in a while (At least once a day as I use my truck multiple times a day). I had my brake booster hose replaced at the dealer and they do their usual test. Battery came back going bad (I figured it was, just waiting on this weeks pay check) so I replaced it with...

However, it still happened. It doesnt happen in the morning when it's cold, It's normally after driving, stopping starting a couple of times. Any other ideas it could be? Starter maybe? Is it covered under warranty?

2006 F-150 Ext Cab 4X4 bought used certified, 40k currently

What do you mean by "hard cranks" do you mean that the starter acting sluggish, or do you have to crank the starter for more than five seconds before the motor starts?

Mine is starting to do the same thing on cold days. That 4.2l takes a lot to crank it over for whatever reason even when it's warm.

I was thinking of getting a Yellow top relatively soon.

Its been fairly cold in the mornings here and mine acts like the battery barely has enough juice to turn over. After that first crank, it acts like normal. Just waiting on the MC battery to give out so i can get an optima

You see mines reverse, Mine cranks no problem on the first try in the morning. (Coldest we've had yet was I think 20 degrees) However, I start my truck several times through out the day and it just wont turn over. I back off the ignition and it starts 2nd or 3rd time. I dont understand why a) it isnt happening EVERY time and b) 80% it cranks strong. It's acting like a hard time turning over the other 20%
