i have a 04 f150 lariat,and last week according to the trip computer i was getting 15.5 miles per gallon , then last weekend i disconnected the battery to put on a different muffler. So i welded the muffler on and connected the battery and it started out at 10 mpg and 75 miles later i'm up to about 12mpg's. I know thats an average that it calculates, will it take time to get back to 15 , just curious. thanks for your help

 

I accidentally reset mine when I was trying to reset the trip meter. I was at 15.5 and after a week I am at 13.9. I'm sure I won't see 15 again until winter is over. This truck doesn't get as good gas mileage in the winter.

 

I was thinking kinda the same thing, it got real cold lately here in iowa, thanks for your thoughts

 

Your probably going a little harder on the throttle to hear that sweet sound? thats where your mileage is going too
