no sale in LA

I went to Houston over Thanksgiving and decided to look into a 08 F150. I was pleased with the price and agreed to buy the truck. Then the sales manager came over and explained that it was going to cost 1600.00 more because I'm not a Texas resident and I can't get the "Texas Edition" or the 4.6 rebates. He still wants to sell me the truck but I'll be DA(*ED if I'm going to pay 1600 more because I live 20 miles east of the Sabine river. I'm a big Ford fan but this has got me thinking hard about brand loyalty.

I just wanted to let others know about this. Heck I may be the last to find out who knows.

Thanks for letting me vent.

His wife needs a new pair of shoes. He could cut 1600 somewhere if he really wanted to.

This is Ford's issue not the dealership. Look it up on Ford's site yourself. Click on incentives and put in 77077 for the zip. It will p*ss you off!!
