I have a 2007 F-150 with a snowplow on it and want to upgrade my front springs. i have a list of all the spring part numbers but ford dont reveal there ratings. I wondering if anyone had plow prep package on a 04 to 08 F-150 and give me there spring code and FGAWR and RGAWR? Mine is spring code is UUMM with FGAWR 3750 & RGAWR 3850 and this is found in the door sticker. If anyone can even with 4x2 & 4x4 can give me their spring rating I can narrow my list down Fords snow plow prep package has a FGAWR 4300 & RGAWR 4800. I would really appreciate any help!

 

Your dealer should have that info???

 

I checked at two dealers and they just had part # but not there ratings, they ford doesn't release the spring ratings with part # for the F-150. they told me to find someone with a plow package and get their spring code.

 

Here's a VIN for a 08 that has the HD payload package and snow plow package. This should give you what you need. 1FTVX14578KD61464 I used fordvehicles.com and searched local dealers lots for 08 XLT supercab 8' box. Those typically are HD payload package trucks.

Post the spring part number when you have them. I'm going to add Z code springs to my 07 soon.

 

Is Z code the heaviest front spring? I didn't know from A to Z codes if they got heavier down the list or if they were mixed around. For Z code the part # is 4L34-5310-ZB and thanks for the vin# and I will Know more after I talk to the parts dept. and I will post it.

 

THis is what one of the online Ford parts guys gave me for a part number, 8L3Z5310Z

And yes, the Z code is the heaviest you can get from Ford for our trucks.

 

yes that's the right part number 8L3Z-5310-Z, I took that vin # number to dealer today and parts guy looked up the springs on it, he said that was probably an old part number list i had. i ordered a set and should be in about a week.
