checked out new trucks

well i have a fully loaded 08 FX4 that i will never part ways with. i went the the auto show here in boston and checked out all the new trucks. the 09 150 is nice but i wont be trading my 08 for one. the new chevy is ok, nothing special. i was actually really impressed with the (cough cough) dodge. actually felt pretty good inside and i am a big fan of the new looks. i must say the biggest disappointment was the tundra. i had very high expectations after hearing people talk about it, and former ford guys saying its the best truck out there. well the thing felt cheap. i thought the handle was going to come off just opening and closing the door. i am sure that 400hp feels good but the rest of the truck feels awful. i never thought i would say this but the dodge without driving the trucks felt and looks the best after the ford.

a couple days ago yahoo had comparison videos with all the truck you mentioned. identical test and the f150 came out on top in every single one, and it was very obvious that it was the best truck. the test were actually test, not a 1/4 miles drag but mileage, trailering, hauling w/ 900lbs in the bed, and driving an artificial river bed at 25 mph. the tundra's bed nearly fell apart during the river bed test

Since so many are saying this 2009 truck is a REDESIGN, how in the world can it finally blow the competition out of the water if it's the same 2008 pig with different 2009 lipstick? Oh, I guess the competition have all downgraded their trucks for 2009. huh?

Watch the videos...I would not say it's the same truck and it's beating the competition because it IS new in many areas and the competition either aren't or are and are poor designs. I mean, Toyota...what a joke!

coincidentally, I happen to be driving an 08 Tundra at this very moment. Got it yesterday w/5k on it, and the "main reqd" light already on....LOL

It's rental because the body shop *finally* got a break from ike-vehicles & got my truck in and I can't WAIT to get mine back.

Tundra bounces sharply all the way thru the steering wheel with each and every small bump in the road - my truck rides silky smooth...tundra DOES have some good pick-up speed after about 22mph, but till then it's quite sluggish.

Cosmetically, looking over the hood kind of reminds me of someone's rear end with a big crack down the middle (sorry, my little boy agreed though), and the dash is definitely not pretty, and even the plentiful number of buttons for me to push can't save it...

BUT - it's mine for a week, so maybe it'll grow on me....
;o)
