problem with cup holder

I got my new truck, and so far i love it. 06 f150 xlt with extended cab and 4x4.... the soft drink holder just under the cig lighter when pushed in does not feel normal and has no bounce back to it... my dad's other trucks when pushed in and you push on it to bring it back out have an assist to bring it back out, this has no bounce to it, and when pushed all the way in, sticks and need a key/knife to pop it out...

anyone know how to fix it?

the drivers side window has a delay when it is down and i want it to go back up.... after 3 secconds or so it goes up... normal?

other than that, i love the truck, lots of power and comfortable..

Sounds like your cupholder justs needs cleaned, it probably has dried soda pop spilled in it. Dried soda pop gets real sticky and can esily gum up the works on a sliding track mechanism. Carefully disassemble the cupholder being careful not to break anything. Give all the pieces a good scrub with warm soapy water and a small brush. Relube the works with vaseline or white lithium grease.

I'm not quite sure, but useually there is a spring clip or some screws in there holding it in. Open up your cupholder and take a good look at it, you should find some way to get it apart.

I had the same problem, it was spilled pop. I sprayed some rubber/plastic/vinyl cleaner on the parts that were sticky and let it soak for a minute or so, then wiped it all clean with a paper towel. Works again

My 05 has the ash tray below the cig. lighter and was also sticking, it eventually broke and I replaced it. You should remove the radio surround and you can remove the whole cupholder with 2 screws. You will probably have to grease the slidding parts with white grease. Check other posts on removing the radio trim, it just pulls off.
