Rear Power Slider Upgrade?

Is it possible to upgrade a manual rear slider window to a power slider? I was wondering if you would have to switch out the entire rear glass, and if so how difficult is it? Anyone done it?

+1 I think the power slider is convenient, but a hassle. My grandmother's F-150 went in for warranty work numerous times for the window.

It is possible I don't know about converting the manual to power. I am guessing you would have to switch out glass. I have looked into this as well, still wouldn't mind doing it however I have the defroster glass so it would be a big step for me.

It is very possible. I upgraded my 2001 from a standard slider to a power slider. It's not a super simple task but, it *can* be done.

www.truckininstyle.com sells the CR Laurence-branded windows. I'm not sure who makes these for Ford now but, CR used to (1997-2003 models).

Also, FWIW, I've had a Power Slider on two trucks now... I use it *all the time*. Never a single problem; I love it and wouldn't have another truck without it.

and that is the reason they dont have a problem, its when you use it maybe once a month it starts acting up, butif you were to open and close it like once a week you would never have a problem, because it would keep things lubed up and free
