'04 150 need some ideas...

So, I have leveled my truck and taken the factory running boards off.

It looks so much better with the running boards off its not even funny (dont worry, pictures are soon to come), but there is a problem now, and its the reason why I was hesitant to take them off, and the problem is that now my grandmother (who I have breakfast with every wednesday) cant get into my truck [easily].

I was thinking that now I would have to bring a stool or something for her to stand on, but it seems like it would be a PITA. She likes my truck so I just want to find a solution here. I almost feel a little guilty because she likes riding in my truck, and now she cant get into it.

Anyone else with an '04-+ F150 have a similar problem, or am I the only one here who hated those running boards?

I don't like mine either, but with a body lift you need them to hide to frame... So i'm keeping mine on.

But if you have extra money on your hand. You could install power side step that hide under the truck when the door are close and put down when you open the door.

You're only option would be the Amp research power steps like Pat mentioned. I thought about them for my wife, but they're pretty high dollar so I just kept my OEM bars.

They make manual pull out steps for the back of the truck... could you mount one of those in the front? That way it would be cheaper than the amp steps and you could pull out the step when you help your grandma into the truck

just a thought... I have no idea if it would work...

I have a 6" lift with no steps. Only girls in good shape get into my truck.

Amp research steps are cool, but not worth 1000 bucks IMO.

Get a nice polished aluminum stool with rubber mat on the top. Or maybe put your running boards back on.
