The muffler was 65ish bucks, and then however much a few feet of exhaust tubing and a couple tips cost. Will vary from place to place.

I know that Magnaflow and Ford both make actual kits that will bolt right up, they are fairly pricey though if I remember right.


You will have problems with the gas tank being in the way if you go out the drivers side of the truck. If you stick with just going out the right side there is nothing in the way...

Gloss Black was standard on the 04's.

Here's mine. My mods are pretty basic, compared to some others, but it works for me. I have an off brand muffler similar to magnaflow replacing the factory muffler. I added power windows and door locks, satellite radio, tonneau and wheels. The wheels were standard on the FX4 model back in 2004.
