truck down 2 quarts of oil!

When doing a quick look over of my truck today to get ready for the holiday travel, i checked my oil. Seemed somewhat low so i decided to change it. I dont drive my truck much anymore (have put 800 miles on it since april and the lift)... after i changed the oil i poured the old oil back in the containers that the new oil came from and i didnt even fill a 5 quart jug! WTF?

That's a crude way of measuring because some oil is still coating the engine and some is still in the filter. Next time check the dipstick first.
