Cool Cold Air? Chip? info please!

I just bought an 07 F150 XLT
gas obviously wasnt a big concern and power was a background interest in searching down the perfect f150 to start upgrading

and given this i would still like to flex my gas mileage a bit as well as add power... i already did this to an old 99 F350 i had with amazing results... but due to a new line of profession i no longer need this big of a truck... now its all fun
any advice/ info on either of these upgrades for a 4.6L V8 16V SOHC Triton

Tires next... maybe a rize kit if i get antzy down the line... its a daily driver so i have to keep it somwhat tame...... or maybe not

neither. just get a regear done. a 4.10 gearset would be a good compromise between MPG and performance

same effect as adding 20-30 HP. in conjunction with a programmer,I believe you would be very very happy with the performance gain.

Dont buy an edge, (bad experience - 1700$ for a new PCM), the edge didn't give me better fuel mpg either

I had fantastic results with the Edge for about 35,000 miles and then upgraded to the Gryphon. It's even better and have had it for about 12,000 miles.

Did the Edge itself fry it or was there some sort of a power spike?

i have the 4.6 also, i have VMP tuning and CAI, also had an edge (truck broke down twice with it) i would recommend tuning over CAI, all i got from the CAI was a loud noise (which is awesome) but do both if you have the money, i got the K&N 63 series for $240 from a guy on ebay and the tuning was like $410. other ideas would be pulleys, efans which i haven't tried

i have a 6" BDS lift, 35's and 17's also, the programmer made a huge difference after the lift wheels tires. also PM mercedes tech he has the 4.6 lifted as well lifted with 35's and a gryphon from php, and dirtbound has a rize with 37's, not sure if hes tuned or not tho
