Can traction control be added afterwards?

I have a 2007 F150 4x4 Lariet that did not come with traction control. I am wondering if I bought the switch and installed it, could the dealer enable this option?

There more to it than just a switch! There's sensors, wiring, module. You can ask the dealer, but get ready for them to look at you like you've got six heads "say what?"

I've had this happen several times. I first asked my local dealer to help me convert my '07 Harley F-150 over to the '08 style rearview mirror and camera. First, I got the look. Then they told me "the '08 doesn't have a backup camera!" I just walked out and said "Never mind!"

I added autolights and an autodimming mirror to my previous vehicle, which was an Escape, and they gave me a story like you wouldn't believe.

6 hours later, and a little fustration, I did it myself.

But yes, it can be added, but I think the only issue might be would be with the ECU.

I was hoping all the components are already on the truck and all that would be required is an ECU or BCM change. The system would use the ABS to determine a wheel slipping and reduce the throttle as needed.
I guess I'll check with the dealer to see if they know.
Thanks
