07 Supercrew Stalled

Okay, just purchased my first new(ish) truck and already problems. 2007 F150 XLT Supercrew, 4.6L, Auto. I bought it with 29,900 on the clock. Four days later, she's sitting in the shop. Here the story.

I pick up the truck up from the dealership(a good 35 minutes from the house) on Friday 11/7/08. On Saturday I noticed that when you shut the truck off and open the door(key removed), the radio still goes for 10 minutes and the dome light didn't work by the door opening, just the switch. Tuesday was the soonest I could get off work to take her in. I took her back to where I bought her(for the sake of showing the dealer what they sold me) and she was fixed in all of 2 hours. They said they found an open circuit somewhere and it was all good to go. I tested it out, all was good. Drove home(30 minutes on the freeway), had the cruise on and set to 80 MPH(get off it, I was still safe, and only 10 over...). I drove straight to a Pontiac dealer 10 minutes from my house(my brother wanted to look at a new car). The truck sat for a good 2 hours at that dealer in 20'ish F degree weather. Drove on surface streets home for 10 minutes and then allowed my brother to drive it around the side streets(I was in the truck).

Got back home from the side streets and went to turn around in a residential driveway to park in the street. When I put it from drive to reverse, truck died. Lost all pressure, still had power, truck wouldn't move. I tried to start it a couple times and it wouldn't turn over, just crank. The weirdest part is when you released the key(to the RUN position), the truck still was cranking. I got it to start once and put it in drive, it died again. One more time it started and put it in reverse, she died. I called the roadside assistance and had her towed to the local Ford Dealer(MUCH better service department there). The first day they had it it acted up. They checked the wires/fuses and found the only fuse to be bad was the Cigeratte lighter fuse, they changed it. Now for the last two days its been fine, no codes/lights/problems, etc. They are still trying to get it to stall again, with no luck. My question is, does anyone have any ideas toward what might be happening? Or what might have happened? They seem blank on it as of now and are going to call the "Ford Engineering Hotline" today, as they told me.

I don't mind the '08 F150 they gave me as a rental(free thanks to the warranty), but I want my new baby back.

Good luck. Sounds like it could be a ECM problem. I'm sure they'll get it fixed.

Heard of similar problems on other makes of trucks, to my knowledge they flashed the ECM. (Flashed= reset)

Well, the dealership called me back. They were going to release the truck last night, but the service manager told the tech to drive the truck one more time, this time in the rain. He did, and the truck died on him a couple blocks from the shop. Since this was like 10 minutes before the end of the tech's day, it will be Monday until they can look at it again...looks like this might be a while until I get my truck back...

At least it acted it up for them, and not you, which would land up leaving you stuck somewhere again. Now they've seen it and can hopefully address the issue.
