20 mpg? in my dreams. I have an 07 F150 with the 5.4, chip, exhaust, CAI and I am lucky to get 14 in town. My advice is don't by an F150 if your wanting good gas mileage. Just my $.02 But other then Gas mileage I love the 150. It gets the job done.

The power is awesome. Stock the F150 is kinda slow but after a few mods I can out run my buddies 07 tundra with the 5.7. I usually get 16 or 17 on the highway but thats at about 80 mph.

If you're really interested in just having it as a daily driver are you considering the 4.6? You should get better mileage with the smaller motor just tooling around town. And I assume if you needed to tow something you could just use the big boy. Also, with the 5.4 you wouldn't have to worry about the spark plug issue that the 04-05's have. Just a thought though.

2005 SuperCrew, 5.4, 3.55 gears 16.5 mpg around town, 19.2 on the highway running 75 to 85 mph. A programmer does wonders for power.

Welcome!

How are you getting 16.5? I have an 07 Supercab with a 5.4. I got the edge, S&B intake and Flowmaster exhaust and get lucky to get 14. How can i get 16?

I have no idea, it has been like that from when I bought it. One thing, I live out in the country, so to get to town, I do run some long stretches that are not stop and go. That has to help. I get that on the stock tune and on my performance tune. I do get that only with the stock wheels and tires. I put the bigger wheels and tires on and lose almost 1 1/2 mpg. I have the stock intake, and a Flowmaster 40.
