I have basic radio CD am/fm.

It would not come on when ro turn key on...it was out...if i bang it as easy then it would power up like clock to appear.

It only happen when i turn it off and then turn it on when need truck to drive the clock didnt appear.

Fuse? what else possibly cause this?

I would pull the unit, check all connections, and reinstall with a 3-pound sledge.

FYI, there was a 6-disc 'basic' unit on the classifieds for $75 (which is a pretty fair deal, IMO).
