Wheel Well Toolbox

Does anyone have one? Search turned up a couple of hits, but the one guy that had them has taken his gallery down.
Undercover has a cool setup: Wheel Well anyone have this setup?
Guess my main criteria is that the thing not stick up above the bed rail.

Also, anyone know if that rail system in the 2009s might be retrofitted to an 05?

Dan

Suggested Price on their website is $245, so I'd expect it to be somewhere south of that. Model List

Pretty innovative product. After seeing it, I'm really surprised it's taken this long for one to hit the market. It seem like the PERFECT place to store the jack, among other things. I placed my jack in the bed after installing a small (the flat kenwood) "subwoofer" on the floor under the passenger side rear seat. Other items, bungie cords, tow strap, hooks, power inverter....

But suggested retail of $245 seems pretty steep for a plastic bin and a hinge? Looks like a few places on the web have them from ~$160-190. That's a bit more reasonable!

That type, except for the swing out feature have been around for years. You can find them in just about any auto accessory store, like JC Whitney, etc.

The one at JCWhitney isn't much cheaper given the street price of the Undercover one will probably be in the $200 range.

Pet peeve #5 : People who post in a thread who don't bother to read what others wrote, ESPECIALLY from the very first page.....

I saw this when I went to buy my Undercover tonneau, but had to decide between this and a bed extender. That would be $336.20 if you want one on each side right?

Check out american van.
http://www.americanvan.com/

The company is reputable. We've ordered some stuff from here and no problems with shipment or delivery. They have different styles of wheelwell boxes.
