Those that have the the DC Controller...

have you had any corrosion issues on the terminals? i have my controller mounted on the washer fluid resevoir and i'm starting to get a small bit of it accumulating. would dielectric grease on the terminals and some sort of plastic cover do the trick here? also, any suggestions on what i should use to remove the rust/corrosion before it causes any more damage?

Yea, one of my terminals got rusted pretty bad. I think it was the input positive. The other two have some, but aren't so bad. Mine was also mounted on the washer fluid reservoir.

For a while, it wouldn't turn on the fan (took me a couple days to notice that). I cleaned the terminals (I think with contact cleaner) and put some battery terminal grease on it, and it worked fine for a while, but it eventually failed on me, making the fan just stay on constantly. So I just took it off, and went back to stock.

Granted, it might have all been my mounting location. Since it was on the washer fluid tank, it would sometimes get water that fell through the edge of the hood when I washed the Expy. I'm guessing maybe water eventually got inside the unit and it just defaulted to constant on operation?

I guess you would trying covering it, since maybe some water is getting to it?

that's pretty much what i've noticed with respect to the + terminal. i guess i'll try to clean it and fab up some sort of cover for it to keep water off.
