how the hell do you know the difference in trains!

Very nice pics, the pic someone pointed out above is advertisement worthy. What kind of camera is that (I bet I'm the 20th person to ask). Lastly, fantastic job on the truck. What are your future plans?

Nikon D80 is what was used for those pics. Standard kit lens 18-200mm.

Thanks for all the compliments. Future plans are...

Camburg control arms
Superlift Traction Bars
PTM bumpers
King Rear Shocks

I take it that question is for me?

Right now I'm the Mechanical Engineer on site at the NC DOT rail yard where they maintain the State owned locomotives and rail cars. I just wrote specs to overhaul both Locomotives I posted, so I'm fairly familiar with them.

I knew the pics Pimp took are with a short line because there are only 5 Class 1 railroads in the Country; Union Pacific, BNSF (Burlington Northern Santa Fe), Kansas City Southern, Norfolk Southern and CSX.

I actually work for an engineering consulting firm and I've just been leased out to the State for about 6 months. I'll only be there another 2 weeks or so, but it was fun while it lasted!

As for making bank, well, not just yet, I'm only 3 years out of school. Gimme another 10-15 years and we'll see. The way things are going nowadays, I am glad I fell into railroad and underwater inspection work. Both are usually unaffected by recessions. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed though.
