I painted them with Krylon Fusion black satin and then ordered some oval emblem overlays from Patriotdecals.com in flatblack/dsg.. I love them, and the price was right!

Yes, That's what I ment...
Did your new grill come with a badge or did you swap yours over?

See you in a bit... Going to order my grill now!!

I dunno bout the bull bar, but you just re-use your old badge, just make sure you save the little screws that attach the emblem to your h-bar grille, they look better than the push screws that you get with the Roush grille install kit..

the whole black thing is a bit too much for me, but I do like it. I prefer a little contrasting color personally.

good job

I got some grief down by Austin in Feb 2007 about my plate covers. cops told me it was illegal to cover any portion of the plate. let me off with a warning since I had out of state plates and was military.

stupid law, but next time I drive in Texas I'll remove my covers at the border

Yea, they are supposed to be pretty strict here in Texas about covering your plates with just about anything. Obviously you can't have a tinted cover, I doubt you can even have a clear cover (would hinder reflective visibility), you can't have a bracket that covers any part of the word TEXAS at the top of the plate.

So yea, other than that, I haven't really seen an issue with tinted tails around here.. I do catch a lot of cops around here staring me down tho.. I'd like to think it's cuz my trucks awesome tho.. lol

I do have contrast. My truck has black, flat black, satin black, gloss black, semi-gloss black.. just about any and every shade of black.. heck I even sport some chrome inside my headlights..lol

but seriously my emblems/decals are flat black/dsg which really seems to pop for me..
