PTM F150 badges

how should i go about in painting them to match the the truck? how hard is it to take them off? and sense im doing the f150 badges i think i might get the black ford emblems as well

I just did mine this weekend. Not hard at all to do. Just mask around real good and shoot it. I used Krylon Fusion satin black and they came out well. I will get a pic. later tonight for you.

also thinking about doing this but flipping the colors,black where the chrome is and chrome where the balck is ,just so u can still read the badge ,i think a few people have done this on this board

I was thinking about doing the chrome part DSG and the lettering in matte black. I'm about to get a bunch of inlays with that scheme from Patriotdecals.com

Somewhere I remember reading that the ovals can be heated up and taken apart. Once apart you can remove the blue color and then paint what you ever you want. I am looking for a set to try it out on....have not heard back yet on 'em.

I did mine a while back and just taped them off good, didnt bother to take them off.

Used gloss Krylon Fusion also. I cant remember if I scuffed them up or not it was a while ago.
I planned on spraying boatloads of clear over them, but didnt get around too it. The paint has chipped off in a couple places from gravel, which I think may have been avoided if I would have gotten the clear on them. Someday I will repaint clear them again.
