Need some 04/05 front bumper brackets...

I have decided to retrofit the older style bumper (square fogs) onto my '08 since it has no fogs...but I need the brackets for it since they are different. So, I know some of you have upgraded to the newer bumpers on your older trucks and thought maybe someone would have the brackets I need laying around. Let me know if any of you guys/gals do and I will happily pay you for them if you want rid of them. Also, a quick question...should I go ahead and switch to a 04/05 upper bumper pad as well since the one I have now is black textured and I want a PTM one when i put the new bumper on? Thanks for any help!!

if you are going to do the swap, you might as well do the whole schebang

pm Stealth (a mod here). I know he did this...not to sure about who else has done the swap.

btw, why the 04/05 bumper? the round fogs look 100% better IMO

i like the squares. give off more light. tuffx4 or something like that (silver fx4 two door lifted) has an 04 with 06 bumper on it. someone with a white (i think) dropped f150 put the round fogs on. once you do this let me know what all is needed i am very interested in this swap as well.

You must replace the upper bumper cover. The late 06-current will not fit with the 04 - early 06 style bumper and brackets. I just did the conversion last night. Let me know if you have any ?'s I'll try to help you out. I got the bracketry from tasco ford. My truck is a late model 06 so I had to change all the brackets and the upper bumper cover. (ordered the upper bumper cover on Amazon and got it delivered for around $100.)

I just like the look of the square fogs...I know I am weird..lol. Ok, so I ordered the upper pad since they have to be the same...but still need the bumper brackets. To the poster above that ordered them from Tasca, do you have the part numbers I need if I have to order them or do I just need to give them a call and they will know what I am talking about? Also, what was the approximate price of the new set of brackets? I would rather just find a spare set from a member here that did the opposite swap if possible...but if need be I will order them I guess. Thanks for the info so far!!

I like the squares too. I also put a street scene bumper cover on - so I used an aftermarket black bumper from ebay. Hope to paint this weekend.

This is what I got from Dominic at Tasco ford:

Looks like you need 6 brackets (3 pairs).
Parts you need in the attached picture should be numbers:
17754, 17752B and 17B984
Your price puts them at the following prices.
17754: $17.91 for the pair
17752B: $38.38
17B984: $54.54

Thank you very much for the part #'s and pricing, you have been a huge help! Looks like I may be calling Tasca and ordering some...those prices aren't too bad at all.
