Tasca Ford Customer Service

I have a question for you guys... to me... this situation is messed up and I think I'm right, but I want to know what you guys think of it.

2 weeks ago, I purchased a new 3rd-brake light for my F-150. It was $25.00 plus $10.00, fine with me.

I kept checking the order status and all it ever said was "Processing", it never switched to shipped. So today I write them an e-mail about it, and they reply with this:

"Shaun the part just came in and there was a changed part number. When the part number changed the price went up significantly. I will have the updated price for you in the morning."

So I reply with a message about the fact that shouldn't I be paying the price which was advertised to me when I purchased the item? Not the new price that happened 2 weeks after and you guys never decided to inform me until I raised the question?

Not only that, but if you check the site today... you'll notice the 3rd brake light is still listed at $25.00

Am I wrong in thinking that I should be paying the price I ordered it at and not the new price that wasn't told to me until 2 weeks later after I e-mailed them asking what the problem was?

Don't get me wrong... until this situation I thought this was one of the greatest companies online for my parts... but if this doesn't end the way I think it should... I don't really think I'll be giving them any more of my money.

I'm hoping they will.

I could understand if it was out of stock or something like that, but the part was listed as in-stock when I ordered, for $25.00.

Update: Well, that was quick!

Domenic is taking care of me over at Tasca. He's going to get me the original price and ship it out as soon as he can.

Impressive that this started and ended (in a good way) all within a day. So I am back to my ways of saying Tasca is probably the best online site for purchasing Ford parts at a fraction of the cost it would be at the dealership.

SVTP forum members get 10% over cost on all parts from Tousley Ford.

What kind of discount does Tasco do?

Domenic is a great guy, I knew that he would treat you fairly! I've bought many things for my truck from Tasca, Domenic gives me a # & I just drive down there & pick the stuff up, without the S&H, since I am only 15 Minutes away!.........Tasca is awesome!....

glad it worked out for you...but wouldn't it have been better to have waited for a resolution first, and then posted a thread.

Something about how Tasca had upheld their good customer service...

rather than how Fubar'd they were...but it's all better now

Ehh... that is the reason why I didn't post a thread title that was negative.

I just wanted to see everyone's opinions.
