Left side window making popping sound

Left side window making popping sound

The left side window Has started to make a popping sound when i push the power button to put it down. Any ideas on what may be cauising it.

mine did this too before the regulator went out.

I don't know about yours, but in every Ford I've owned there is a plastic gear inside the regulator that is the weak point. It's a good thing. The plastic gear is really cheap. I don't know if Ford is still using the same regulator/plastic gear setup still. You just take out the plastic gear, wipe the housing clean and install the new one. Usually the "HELP' section in the autoparts store has them.

I've noticed for the past few days it only does it at certain temps. In the morning when I roll the window down to clear the dew off of it its fine. In the afternoon when leaveing work. I roll the window down to let out some of the heat it makes the poping sound when it first starts, but the rest of the way its fine.
