loud noise from stock a-arm?

So my lift has been making some loud creaking noises when I turn and it was dead quiet for the last few years. The guys who installed my lift said it was some bushings that are in the stock A-arms and Ford knows they are a bad design. To replace them you have to buy the whole A-arm. Anyone hear of anything like this? Any other reports like mine? Ford won’t warrantee it since it is lifted.

Sounds like your cam bolts are slipping on you.... is the alignment off yet?

Could also be the installer tightened all the bolts before the vehicle was put on the ground, causing it to bind.

Mine has popped pretty much since day one after the lift.

This is hard to describe but... I found that the passenger side rear crossmember that the a-arm goes into was slightly oversized. So when I tightened the control arm bolt down, the pocket it goes into was angled. Resulting in there being a slight gap towards the rear of the pocket. I had Fabtech send me a new rear crossmember and it turned out to be the same width.

I then just tightened the **** out of it to about 200 ft lbs (Fabtech spec is 150) and it stopped. Only to return a few weeks later. Not sure what to do at this point.

I almost hope you're guy is right and it's coming from the control arm itself. Much easier to fix at least.
