The Lariat is a step up in style. the FX looks great. the 5.4L is more powerful The 4.6L is not more economical. I got an '08 FX2 Sport Scab 5.4L FFV for only $1200 than the Lariat you are looking at. it's really your call but I would look around some more. We took a month to find ours.

Go with the Lariat. Nicer interior and larger motor.

You can get the chin spoiler painted from Roush:

http://www.woodhousestore.com/servlet/Detail?no=988 ($400)

Have the front and rear bumpers painted to match. That would have the same style as the FX4 has.

I'm sure they would sell this one for the price of the white one.

If it does not have a 5.4, I would not even touch it! The 4.6 is a car engine in a heavy 1/2 ton!.........

FX2's are nice but I would go with the Lariat (since it has the 5.4)

I like the FX2 (I own one) but I dont like white on vehicles and I wouldnt buy a 4.6.

The Lariat is nice but I dont like the color of it. I'm going to say keep searching.

FX2, looks good and I doubt your going to be racing, or hauling extremely heavy stuff.

I think the 5.4L is underpowered for our trucks as it is. I wouldn't get a 4.6L. But if you don't care I would drive both and ask yourself which you like better.

+1 Lariat

I say look into the left over 08's. I didnt pay too much more than that for my 08 2 weeks ago. The rebates expire today, but I bet there will be another program starting tomorrow that may even be better. The only downside, the choices are getting thinner as they are closing them out.

x2

nice truck, but for about the same price, you can get brand new. I'd keep lookin bud. Don't just look online either, actually get out, and go down to MULTIPLE dealerships, ask around, let them wheel and deal, see what you come up with. That way you can pick the options you want, and be completely happy in the long run ! That's what i would do anyways, good luck.

If I was forced into choosing between the two you listed, easily would choose the fx2. The 4.6 gets me around just fine, along with towing my other rig.

sorry to keep going offtopic...another vote from me for the FX2. It looks better and there is more truck for the money...although the 5.4 is alot more powerful

Not to stray too far off topic but a 281 cu.in. 4.6 can do more than any factory 350/351 could ever do. The days of getting power by increasing the size has been replaced by gaining power by more efficient designs and electronics.

In either case I would go for the 5.4, it would be much easier to make the gray one look like the white one than it would be to get the gray one's 5.4 into the white one.

It's hard here in columbus ga to find a dealership who will work with you.
River town ford have a nice 5.4 FX2 with reverse camera and all kind of stuff but they want after rebates 28500 plus tax and tiltle.

The only reason i like the FX2 is cause the bumbers a painted, i know i can get that done with any other F150. I looked at the dodge but their interior is straight cheap, but their lifetime power train warrantee is nice.

I found a F150 with all i want but its two color, red and gold. it looks more like a f150 a retired SGM would ride.

so, its confusing. there are $35000 f-150 they cost after $7500, clost to $28500 but i need it under $24000 drive-out and around here noone really work with you.

heck, i dont know
