Power folding mirrors for 2004 Lariat?

Hey all.. I currently own a 2004 Lariat with power, signal and heat mirrors. I have a set of '08 power folding mirrors w/puddle lamps P/N 8L3Z-17682-HA. Does anyone know if I can install these on my '04 Lariat and if possible supply a parts list & directions? I have a very narrow driveway and only inches to spare, folding mirrors would really help out! Any help is greatly appreciated.
thank you in advance

I know it's been done, by who, I don't remember. Tasca ford has page on their site for swapping mirrors on 150's

Here's a writeup someone did for a 2005 Lariat, I'm guessing it should be close for yours:

I've wondered about that install myself. Please update this thread as you do the install.

the mirrors will bolt right up

for the wiring. On your passenger windshield pillar, there is a power wire behind the trim. the wire routes power to the moonroof, cab light and rearview mirror.

for the puddle lamps: I suggest you tap off the wire that powers the cab light. if your truck is like mine, the cab light comes on when you unlock a door, or open a door. This way your puddle lamps light up when they are supposed to, and off as well

Folding Power Mirrors

I have a 2004 F150 with heated turn signal power non power folding mirrors. I am interested in installing power folding turn signal mirrors & this thread has been helpfull. I was wondering if anyone knows if these mirrors may be plug & play install. The reson I ask is that I was cleaning my truck the other day and hit the mirror swicth with the truck turned off and the mirrors moved. They are powered up at all times & can be adjusted with the truck turned off. Also note that I have looked at several 07 & 08 with power fold option and the power mirror switch has the same markings as the 04 with heated power signal mirrors. I wounder if the factory prewired these trucks and just installed the optional mirrors for what ever the trim level of the truck was. Thanks for any reply in advance Rick.
