i have a 2006 f150, does anyone know specifically know how to remove the gauge needles? i think i broke one already.

use a fork like a claw hammer

 

My US Speedo kit came with a little tool, nothing more than an angled piece of plastic with a little notch cut out at the end. Push the tool under the needle till the notch hit the center post, then lever the needle off. This pic I found online is from a 2001, but you should get the point:
