I just had to replace my throttle body after the battery died.....i replaced the battery and when i started my truck the engine light came on. The dealer here considered it part of the emissions system so i was told i had to pay for it out of pocket ($365.00) with labor. Did i get screwed? Thanks, Kevin

 

should be if your under warranty!

 

You can run your truck without emission systems, you can't without a throttle body. Sounds like you got screwed to me. Is it a extended warranty?

 

I believe the emissions warranty on a 2005 was 3/36 with a few exceptions like the converters, if you have Ford ESP, it may be covered.

 

Yes it was an extended warranty i purchased from the dealer it was the Millennium Platinum warranty, I made a call to Millennium and they told me since it was emissions it was not covered....live and learn. Thanks guys!

 

That is not part of the emissions system, you got hosed.....
