bilstein shocks or roush suspension

my fx4 needs shocks, i am debating on weather to go with bilstein hd's or the full roush suspension. i have no desire for the 5100 shocks as i dont want to level the front or lift the truck. also cannot make up my mind if i would regret lowering the truck the 2-3 that the roush provides but i know i will like the handling. i also do no offroading, mainly got the 4wd for the winters here in new england. thanks

Since you do no off roading go for the Roush.

I'm very pleased with the Bilstein HD's I have in my 07. They offer a very comfortable and controlled ride. Mine have 50K on them and they still feel as good as they did they day I installed them.

Are Roush shocks a custom valved Bilstein? The one's on their site sure look like Bilsteins.

Roush Suspension all the way. No offroading demands it.

I know a couple of others with the Roush and they also do limited "offroading" on mildly-maintained roads with zero issues.

I am basically in the same position as the OP, and I am pretty much decided on the roush suspension. Then I get to pick out some killer rims and tires, even though I love the looks of the guys rollin 35's and up around here

yea the roush are bilsteins so i figure the suspension is a one shot deal, i wish there was someone in my area so i could compare side by side and go for a ride to see how it feels. have not heard anyone with a roush complain about it. decisions decisions
