05' ? sputter or miss??????

New to the site, viewed it many times.

My ? is, I have an 05 F-150 FX4 with 43K. Bought it a month ago. At first I noticed a slight miss at 40-45 MPH. Over the past week it goes from 35-70MPH. It does it when I go to accelerate, it will do a bunch of quick jerks, but if I hit the pedal a little harder it kinda drives through the miss. Going up a hill makes it more noticable. Any advice

No code? I had a plug on my 97 that would not fire under load for some reason. Took awhile to figure that one out, but did track it down. You also could just have a dirty MAF.

First thing I would do is change fuel filter. If not that then can be lots of things includeing COP or injector.

Thanks to the both of you, I'll try those. The fuel filter was my first guess, I have a 96 powersroke that did kinda the same thing. I've been working 12's and have not had the chance to look at it.

My ranger did the exact same thing, never did figure out what the problem was. We eventually let Carmax deal with it.
