Anybody have 285s?

I am looking to put a set of tires on the truck just until I can get it sold. Probably going to go with the cheapest set of stock size tires I can get, but figured I would look into a set of 285s for the heck of it. Don't want to level it, since I am trying to keep the total amount invested low. The only truck have I have seen here that had the 285s was leveled, and I am looking to see what it would look like stock.

Thanks in advance.

If you are looking to keep your invetment low I wouldnt buy 285's. I spent 1300 on my new tires this spring they are not exactly a low buck mod.

Jader, those look stock to me...

And yeah I will most likely get a set of used 275s. Keeping the cost low as possible.

Vote #2 for the Toyo Open Country A/T's... awesome tires.

I moved up from the factory 17's to 18's in the 285.

what is the point of getting tires?

are the old ones that bad? because the cost of new tires won't save or gain you any $$$ when you sell it

285's

I swapped to 285/70-17s. Had to ditch those Kankook passenger car tires the truck came with. They were too small, too soft, too weak in the sidewall. I love the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armour. They seem to work great in the wet and the snow. I have a 4 x 4 with no suspension work. I seem to show about 3 miles per hour error on the speedo at 60 mph. I did order the truck with the 3.73 ratio since I knew I was going to swap to larger tires.

Wow!

I get great deals with the Roush 20's. 275/55 20's at $140.00 mounted. These are Toyo Proxies and I have them on all my trucks.

Simply an awesome tire with excellent traction. They wear like iron. Don't expect winter traction. That's what studded snows are for anyway.

I would look at swapping out the 17's for summer use. You'll be happy you did.
