Anyone having problems with burnt out power window and lock lights?

Back in May (when I still had warranty) I had the driver's side "master switch" replaced because the passenger side down light was burnt out. Now all of the lights on the power mirror switch and on the passenger side, the window lights are out and of course my warranty is over. Anyone else have this issue?

not to that extent but I do have like one light out. Some day when I'm really really bored I'll replace it with this switch I got off ebay.

YES!!! So far I've had the master switches and the lock switch on the drivers door replaced, all switches on the passenger door and both overhead switchs replaced. The only original switches I have left in mine are both rear power window switches and the switch for the power pedals.

Ford should extend the warranty on this like they did for the fuel injectors

BTW the power mirror switch does not light up neither does the window lock switch. I thought they did too but they don't have lights in them

Wow thats weird, im having the same issue, but my stealership told me there is a 100 charge just to run the diagnostic to find out whats wrong. He then went on telling me my warranty (extended warranty ftw) doesnt cover this. I also only have 30000 miles on it...weird. Im going in monday!

I've had the lights go out on the drivers side window once and the driver's door lock button is burnt out for the 2nd time. Driver's side window switch is also not making a good connection. Have to hit it a few times before it will roll up.

I must have missed this. I was doing a search because I don't like my lights out. My only lights out so far are the pass-front, driver-rear and sliding rear windows. As I was looking at the wiring diagrams, the switches have a LED in them. This is what amazes me. I might have to replace my driver window switch (bad contacts) and if I do, I will take the old apart to investigate.

I have had to replace my drivers side window switches because the lights were out. I have been meaning to take the old one apart to see if it can be changed to an LED but have not had the time.

Somehow I missed all of the replies on this thread.

Anyone take their old switch apart yet? I kept the master switch they replaced under warranty but can only find half the pieces now. I was going to take it apart too. If it was just the LEDs I was going to put some blue ones in when I redo my instrument cluster.

They sure do. I remember my power mirror switch being lit up once apon a time.

I thought so and even talked with the mechanic about this with my 05. They do not, unless you somehow got a different switch than me. Even the wiring diagram does not show them having a light. It you look at them on mine you can actually tell a difference... the area that would light up for these switched (the power mirror switch and the window lock button) on mine are actually painted... no light. The others are not.

Well it has been a while since I first noticed there was no lights for the power mirrors so I could be mistaken, but I could have sworn that switch lit up too.
Even not counting that one, it's still two switches in a couple months with no lights now.

As a matter of fact, I pulled one of my switches today and took it apart. I found the indeed there are two of the tiniest LEDs I've ever seen. Everything is so tiny, I don't think there is an easy repair. It seems like the solder is shoddy but it could very well be the resistor or LED. Here is a pic of it apart. Showing one of two LEDs.

This is basically the same thing that happened to me. one switch light went bad then another then another and somewhere in there I noticed the power mirror and window lock button not lighting up. I insisted that they did at first too. That's when my dealer pulled the wiring diagram to confirm they never did.

Smallest LED EVER.
I'm going to look for the rest of my switch and bust out the soldering iron.
