Truck Groaning

Hey guys. On vacation right now, but the truck got pretty dirty so I took it by the power washer. Cleaner now I went back to the hotel. As I pulled and and slowed to turn around I could hear this long groaning noise, best described as what a whale would sound like i guess. I thought it was from applying the brakes, but when I backed into my spot it was still making it while I wasn't touching the brakes.

Just checking to see if it could be anything serious, because I got a 3 hour ride home tomorrow towing the boat and I don't anything to happen while doing 70.

Possibly your rear end but where is the noise coming from?

Can't really say.

Oh, and it isn't constant. It's like I have to move so far in between groans to get it to happen again.

Wet brakes or contaminated brakes.

If the noise is coming from the engine it could be coming from the fan. I get that noise sometimes for no reason when the fan clutch locks up even when cool but after a few miles or less, goes away. But it makes the same noise you are describing. When the fan locks up, it's pulling in allot of air, like a tornado, sounds just before it hits you.
