stuck fuel injector

A few months ago my 06 with a 5.4 started missing on several cylinders. By the time I got it to the dealership, it was running fine again. They kept it for a day and, all though the computer showed several misfires, could find nothing wrong with it since it was running fine when I got there. Well, coming home from ohio the other day it started doing it again. I limped it to the dealership and this time the problem was still there. After three days, the figured out the #7 fuel injector was stuck open. I was talking to a coworker about this, and he tells me his brother has had 4 fuel injectors replaced on his 05. Is this a common problem with these trucks or an isolated incident?
thanks,
Mike

I've read on here that it is indeed a common problem but only w/the 04's and the 05's.

'04s are fine, '05 and early '06s have problems.

My experience with these damn injectors. I had an 06 with a build date of 11/05. I had seen all the stuck injector posts and was stupid and had the injectors changed to the latest service replacement part around 11/07 to be proactive before a long road trip in 12/07. Then, 3/08, 1 injector stuck. Barely made it to dealer. Truck seemed to have a noticeable valve tap after it was fixed. Then, second injector went 5/08. Again, on my way to work at 8:00am and barely made it to dealer. I traded truck in before summer trip to Bar Harbor Maine as I no longer trusted it for the road trip and it was time for a change anyway. Was at dealership getting all weather floor mats for wife's Edge and saw truck in service bay. Another stuck injector ! Poor guy that bought it.. It would have went on the road trip had I taken it. Lucky call.

I no longer miss my truck. I probably just was unlucky enough to get a 'bad batch' of injectors but I should have just left well enough alone in the first place.
