Front seat loose?

hey guys. my front passenger seat is loose... like when i hit the brakes it slides forward on the tracks just slightly, but its not like it changes where its located on the tracks if that makes sense? has anyone else had anything like this happen, and any suggestions as to what to do to fix it? the seat itself is deff. secure to the floor, i believe its just something with the tracks that it slides on?

thanks

If it is secure to the floor I cannot help much. My driver's side rear seat bolts only had a couple of threads holding them in when I bought my truck new. The seat would tip forward a couple of inches. I guess the line worker started the bolts a couple of turns but forgot to tighten them. I'm just glad I cought it' I'm sure in a wreck it would've been bad since my seatbelt is integrated with the seat.

Anyway get a flash light and get down and look under the seat while trying to move it. You should be able to see where it is moving and trouble shoot it from there.

Mine has just started doing this as well. Bolts securing the track to the floor are good and tight. Gotta be the track getting worn.

the track has a tiny movement at the end past the last lock, if you go past the last lock then the seat will stay put there, but then on the first hard stop it jumps forward a tiny bit and then locks into the last lock.

Has the seat been adjusted recently on the track?
Does the seat move multiple times or just once?

When I was under warranty I had this problem with my passenger seat... took it in, I don't know what they did... but it never came back.

Now my drivers side is doing it (but I'm no longer under warranty so I wish I had found out what they did.) The service receipt just says that they greased and tightened.

in my case i have a supercab and always with friends so it gets moved forward and back alot... when it does it it never comes out of the lock or moves positions, it moves maybe like 1/2 inch, but doesnt leave its current lock, but it is enough to feel when your sitting in the seat u feel it kinda roll forward then back into place....
