Door corrosion

'06 SCAB, 18,000 miles bought new. What I thought to be a deep gouge on the bottom of the drivers door turned out to be corrosion, no rust just a 14inch long bead of corroded metal. Truck is at the dealers now and they are going to repair, they will grind it down fill it in and paint the lower panel (two tone).Anyone else have a prolem like this? I've always taken care of the truck detail at least 4 timesper year, wash every 2 weeks etc...
Should I look for this to reappear or demand a new door?

well since u still have warranty.. i say get a new door, but the paint is going to be off if you do since its new paint. i guess just see when its done. If you like it, keep it, if not demand a new one.

Just got it back from the dealer, they sent it out to a body shop and they did a good job.
Only thing is the mgr. couldn't explain what caused the damage.
