I didn't see a new member section. So I'll start here. I've lurked around a few truck forums for the past couple of weeks and decided to land here as it seems to be active and have a lot of good information. I hope to be able to learn about my truck from you guys. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions.
First question....I just bought an '05 FX4 Scab Flareside this weekend, and I'm loving it. This is the second F150 I've owned, and I hope it is a good as the first one ('97 XLT 4X4).
I believe I got a decent deal, but am looking for some confirmation and input about any known problems with this model. I know these questions can be tiresome to some, but I thank you in advance for any honest opinions.
It has 17,500 miles and I paid $16K for it. It is Dark Grey and looks like it just came of the showroom. From 5' it looks like a brand new truck.
It has the 5.4L auto, center console and shifter, OEM rubber mats, 18" rims with excellent rubber, all power options (Windows, Locks, Driver seat, Mirrors), Adjustable Pedals, Electronic Shift on the fly, Turn signals in mirrors, Pioneer Head unit with XM (The satellite is still working for now
), spray in Rhino bedliner, Nerf bars (Side Steps), manual sliding rear window, slide rail overhead storage console.

Sounds like a pretty good deal. I picked my 05 supercrew lariat up for $24k it had 35k miles so I think you made out pretty dang good. Now you just need to post some pics and get ready to shell out a lot of extra cash. Once you start reading here you are going to catch the mod bug and really want to do things to your truck. You have been warned with that welcome, and congrats on the new truck.
