now. come on guys. if i remember correctly, the F150 was introduced 1975. Yeah. The older trucks are great, but throwing those in the mix is making it a lot more confusing. The F150 was part of the 6th generation on F-Series. The 09's are the 12th generation of F-Series.

is there seven gens of F150s(excluding F100s)?

Let me chime in on this one I'm not even going to look at the '09's. In the past I have been a sucker for new body style fords. I'm currently on my 3rd F-150. The previous two was the "old body style" and the "older body style". As for my '04 I have now, I just love it!! I just got this truck 2 yrs ago. It's 4x4 XL model......bout as basic as you can get. I traded my 2001 "power everything" for this bare truck. I just had to have the best lookin truck on the planet. But after a year of owning it, I started to regret my decision, because my truck didn't have power windows, locks, and ****ty wheels and tires. Then I came across this site, then I realized I can make my truck into what I want it to be. So after a year of doing mods, I'm loving my truck more and more. Last weekend I installed power windows and locks. Just one of many mods I have done here lately. Sad part about it is I'm not done. With every little mod I do, I feel like I'm in a different truck. So I'm staying away from the soon to be NBS's. My truck is paid for, and I'm having fun with it. The only way I would buy a '09 was if my current truck was totaled!!
