Just put on a Flowmaster Super 44 muffler and used a dual outlet 3A Racing tip from Advance Auto Parts. Had Meineke put it on doing the side exit. Sounds pretty good with the 5.4 liter. Thought I would share a pic.

So you got mufflers and new tips and just had them welded on??? still new to this truck thing

Just bought a muffler and tip from the parts store and had the muffler take unclamp the old stuff and clamp new pipes on. They put on a new hanger and only welded the tip on. I can take some pics from underneath in a little bit and post them.

 

Like the side exaust. You might want to look at some bigger tips when you get the funds. They look a little on the small side to me, but it could just be the pic.
