So about a month ago I hit a construction barricade which broke the glass on my driver mirror. Got lazy and didnt get a replacement, but called a month ago and got a quote, $30 for the glass (verified by last 8 digits of vin, only way to get mirror). Go in yesterday, give the last 8 and tell them I need it. Parts guy says "its not in stock but i can order it and have it here tomorrow, its $59 and change."
So im kinda ticked since the price jumped but he gave it to me for $45 for the misquote. Fine with me just want my mirror. So I drive back today, waited 45 minutes to get it, and notice the box looks small but dont think twice since I DID give my vin.....so it has to be right.

You decide.

So I call, get a smart guy on the phone (not the one who ordered it or gave it to me). Retakes my vin, and says "yup its $30 bucks, but wont have one till tuesday."

BLAh how could the one guy be so stupid, this thing seriously I think is for a focus its so small.

rant over

One wrong click while he is on the phone, working the computer, and handing something else over to the shop was probably the boo boo.

or maybe those little mirrors on XL's and STX models. they definetaly should take it back and cut you the difference.

Ummm....alcohol and a singing girl were involved....we will leave it at that :lol

But yeah, they are gonna take it back and get me the difference back. And to note, I was the only one in the dealership the whole time and I was his only customer, no distractions. Just a plain ole idiot.

Nine years ago, I dove hunted opening day at 114 degrees. Add the humidity, and it make for a damn hot day.

114...Dry heat? I want no part of that

I miss 115* and 30% humidity. This 90*/ 90% humidity and daily stroms sucks monkey ballz!

Sucks about the mirror, Robby. Being in the business, I know chit like that happens, but with VIN filters it shouldn't. I guess I'm really lucky I have decent connections at the Ford dealerships down here for parts. Good luck replacing it...don't break any of the little plastic clips (I think there are some, but don't hold me to it).
