My brother's truck

My brother and I swapped trucks today because he needed the extra seats for his girlfriend's kids.

It's an 06 STX, completely stock and starting to seriously look like crap!
He doesnt take care of it at all.
the tires are as bare as bare can get and one is a spare that isn't the right size.
runs pretty damn well especially considering he's never put a dime into it and rarely even gets the oil changed on time (and he bought it brand new in 06)

but anyways i cleaned it up a little for him today, nothing fancy..just hand washed it and scrubbed the crap out of it cause it was covered in tar!!
i wish i would have taken better pics of it up close before i washed it cause the amount of tar was rediculous.

i was going to wax it also but i didnt feel like it after i got done scrubbing all the tar off, ah well it's more than he'll do for me..i'm sure when i get mine back it'll be dirtier and probably on E

here are the before and after pics

the bumper is all messed up cause he hit black ice about a year and a half ago and smashed into a pole and never got it fixed

The outside is good, but that interior needs some work. I like that he dressed the spare.

It is amazing that some people look at a car/truck as merely a mode of transportation. Others (like us here on the forum) are in it for the vehicle experience...not to mention the opportunity to do mods.

With the price of gas today I'm almost dreading what the gas gauge is going to read for you when he gives your truck back. No to mention that you were a big enough gentleman that you detailed his truck for him. Maybe I can get my parents to adopt you as a brother for me

Good luck with the trade-back with your bro.

i'm a girl but thanks

he use to take care of his truck just as well as I do and always talked about what he'd like to do to it, he especially wanted wheels/tires...
but he took a turn for the worst these past 6 months and i'm just hopin he'll snap out of it sometime soon!

Have him pay $40 to rent a Rug Doctor with the attachment. It would clean the interior to new.
