belltech lowering shocks

im in desperate need of front shocks i know there are a few people running them here how are they? how long did/are they lasting? hows the ride?

here they are they can lower 0, 1, or 2" and id probably lower it just 1" to bringing me down to 3.5" of drop

I'm running those Belltech shocks, #25001, with the Belltech drop spindle. I'm using the 1" spacer and have a total drop of 3" in the front. The ride is great, much better than stock. The new shocks feel like they soak up the bumps better, the stock ones seemed kind of weak in comparison. I had two problems though. I ordered them from Performancecenter.com in March and didn't get them until May. It could have been because they just came out this year. The second problem was I tried to use a strut coil spring compressor (stupid) and you really need to use a proper coil spring one. I have about 2000 miles on them and am very satified. I highly recommend the Belltech drop shocks for the rear too (5").

I think stealth is running a used set of ground force coils on his stock shocks.

Ive heard good things about ground force product in general tho. Im running Eibach and Bistiens around all 4 corners on my truck

I put those exact shocks on my FX4 a few months ago. They actually come with 3 rings and will give either a 2" 1" 0" drop or a 1" lift on a 2wd. On 4x4's they give a 0" 1" 2" or 3" drop. I am thinking about taking them off a putting the stock FX4 shocks back in. After driving with them for a couple months, I really don't like the ride all that much.

Here is the thread https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...eekend+project

Who are you talking too? The 2wd and 4x4 coil springs are the same, the shocks are different between the two.

dude chill no one here in this thread has removed their coils

start a new thread titled "looking for used stock 4wd coils" and wait for a response from someone who has 4wd coils that they removed

Yeah, I knew that. The internal valving is different on FX4 shocks and regular 4x4's. What I was referring to is that the spring perch location is different on 2wd and 4x4 shocks, thus giving a different ride height.

Yeah, just put on some 4x4 front shocks. It really is that simple. Or you could put on a leveling kit.
