really bad noise

last night i went to pull out a friend, when i put it in 4wd it starting making a horrible noise in the front end, i was wonderin what it could be

hub actuators. get them changed there $89 each. get them both replaced.
labor depends on the shop. my local shop charges 150 to install.

Did it make it only when moving? Was it a popping or a grinding? Did it do it under load? Give us a bit more info to help ya out

only when i tried moving, gind of a popping, its fine in 2wd, thanks tonka ill look into that
